After your instructor account is created, there are a few things you'll want to configure before inviting members or scheduling your first offering.

If this is your very first login, the onboarding wizard will walk you through the most important steps automatically. This article covers those steps in more detail, plus a few additional settings you may want to configure.

Step 1: Complete the Onboarding Wizard

When you first log in, you'll be guided through a setup wizard that covers the essentials:

  1. Choose a plan — Select the Omahji plan that fits your needs — Solo or Club. Both include a 14-day free trial.
  2. Business name — Your business name appears throughout your Portal and the player app, so choose something your players will recognize.
  3. Your offerings — Pick which offering types you'll run (games, events, leagues, private sessions).
  4. Membership setup (Club) — If you already have members, choose how they join and what they can access.

💡 Tip: You can always change your plan later from Account > Plan & Billing. To compare plans, see Solo vs Club: Choosing Your Plan. For billing details, see Understanding your plan and billing.

Your business address and your first location aren't part of the wizard — set your address under Account > Business Info, and add a venue under Settings > Locations.

Step 2: Connect Stripe

To accept online payments from your members, you'll need to connect a Stripe account. Go to Settings > Integrations and tap Connect Stripe to link or create your account.

Once connected, you can:

  • Charge for game and event registrations
  • Sell membership subscriptions
  • Accept payments for private sessions
  • Track all transactions in one place

💡 Tip: You can skip this step if you only plan to accept offline payments (cash, check). For a full walkthrough, see Connecting Stripe to accept payments.

Step 3: Configure Your Offerings

Go to Settings > Your Offers to enable and configure the offering types you want to use:

  • Games — Always enabled. Set default pricing, collection method (pay now or pay later), and access levels.
  • Events — Enable to host workshops, tournaments, or social gatherings. Configure payment methods (Stripe, cash, check, and more).
  • Leagues — Enable to run competitive seasons with attendance tracking. (Club plan)
  • Private Sessions — Enable to offer bookable one-on-one or small group lessons with calendar sync. (Club plan)

Each offering type has its own settings for pricing defaults, access levels, and payment methods.

Step 4: Set Up Memberships (Optional)

If you want to control who can register for your offerings, go to Settings > Memberships to configure:

  • Membership requirement — Require members to have an active membership before they can register
  • Subscription plans — Create monthly or one-time plans with pricing, descriptions, and Stripe billing
  • Public sign-ups — Allow anyone to create an account, or require an invitation

🏆 Memberships are part of the Club plan. On Solo, you'll see a prompt to upgrade.

Step 5: Customize Your Portal (Optional)

Your Portal is the public face of your business — your own branded website where players browse and register. Go to the Connect page and open the On the web card to:

  • Add your logo and brand colors
  • Choose a theme (light or dark)
  • Write a welcome message and business description
  • Control which offerings appear on your Portal
  • Add custom content sections

💡 Tip: Your Portal is just one of the ways players reach you. See How players find you in the Connect section for the full picture.

Step 6: Invite Your Members

Once your account is configured, you can bring your players onto the platform:

  • Go to Players and use Invite Member to send email invitations
  • Or enable public sign-ups in Settings > Memberships to let people join on their own
  • Members receive a welcome email with their login link
