The Omahji player app gives your members a native experience on their phone — the same games, registration, and payments as your Portal, in an app they can keep on their home screen.
The app is one of the three ways players connect with you. For the full picture, see How players find you.
What the app is
The player app is a free mobile app for iPhone and Android, available on the App Store and Google Play. It shows your offerings and lets players register and pay, just like your web Portal — but as an installed app, with the extra convenience of push notifications.
Because it's a single app, a player installs it once and can belong to more than one Omahji community. When they open it, they see the instructors and groups they've joined.
What players can do in the app
- Browse your games, events, leagues, and sessions
- Register and pay for a spot
- Join the waitlist and get notified when a seat opens
- Manage their membership
- View seating and make seat requests
- Get reminders before games they're registered for
How players get it
The Omahji app is free to download from the App Store (iPhone) and Google Play (Android). To connect with you, a player:
- Downloads the Omahji app and creates an account — or signs in with the one they already use for your Portal
- Taps Find my host
- Enters your 5-digit instructor code
Once they enter your code, your offerings appear in their app. You'll find your instructor code on the Connect page in your Omahji dashboard. If a player registered through your Portal first, their account and history carry straight over.
For a player's step-by-step walkthrough, see Downloading and signing in to the Omahji app.
💡 The app and your Portal share one account. Players don't need to sign up twice — whatever they do in one shows up in the other.
How it works with your Portal
Think of your Portal as the always-available home base and the app as a convenience layer on top:
- Everything a player sees in the app comes from the same offerings you manage in Omahji.
- Changes you make — new games, updated times, cancellations — appear in both places automatically.
- Push notifications are the app's main advantage: new games, reminders, and waitlist openings reach your regulars without an email.
Tips for getting players on the app
- Share your 5-digit instructor code (find it on the Connect page) so players can connect with you the moment they install the app.
- Mention the app to your regulars — it's the easiest way for them to keep up with your schedule.
- Encourage players to turn on notifications (see Push notifications in the Omahji app) so they never miss a game or a waitlist opening.
- Keep sharing your Portal link too: it's the no-install option for newcomers and works everywhere.
