When you create a recurring game, Omahji groups all the individual sessions under a Game Series. The series detail page gives you a central place to manage the entire series and its individual occurrences.
Opening the series detail page
- Go to the Schedule page in the left navigation.
- Find the game series in your list and tap or click on it.
The series detail page shows:
- The series title, recurrence description, schedule (start date, end date, time, duration), max players, location, host, and booking horizon.
- A status badge: Active, Paused, or Ended.
- A table of all individual occurrences with their date, time, status, and player count.
Series-level actions
Use the action buttons at the top of the page to manage the whole series:
- Edit — Open the series editor to change the series title and description (both owned by the series) along with the default schedule, capacity, host, location, price, and other settings. The title and description update on every occurrence. For the other settings, keep Apply changes to existing non-modified occurrences checked to push them to occurrences you haven't individually customized — occurrences you've already overridden keep their custom values. Uncheck it to apply the new defaults only to newly generated occurrences.
- Pause — Temporarily stop new occurrences from being shown to players. Existing bookings are kept.
- Resume — Re-activate a paused series.
- End Series — Stop the series at a chosen date. No new occurrences are created after that date.
- Delete — Permanently remove the series and all its occurrences. This cannot be undone.
Occurrence statuses
Each individual game occurrence has one of these statuses:
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Scheduled | Created but not yet open for booking |
| Open | Visible and accepting bookings |
| In Progress | Currently happening |
| Completed | The game has finished |
| Cancelled | This occurrence was cancelled |
Managing individual occurrences
From the occurrences table, you can act on a single game without affecting the rest of the series:
- View — Open the occurrence to see registrations and details.
- Cancel occurrence — Cancel just this one game. A dialog lets you choose the scope: this occurrence only, this and all future occurrences, or all occurrences. If players paid, you can issue refunds at the same time.
Overriding a single occurrence. Open an occurrence and tap Edit Game to customize just that date without touching the rest of the series. You can override its date & time, duration, max players, price (including member/non-member pricing and tax), location, host, booking deadline, image, access level, and published/visibility.
The one thing you can't change on a single occurrence is the name and description. These are owned by the series, so in the occurrence editor they appear read-only under a From series badge with an Edit series → link (helper text: "Title and description are set on the series. Editing the series updates every occurrence."). To rename the game or edit its description, edit the series instead — that updates every occurrence.
Generating future occurrences
Omahji creates occurrences in advance based on your booking horizon. If you need to extend the schedule further out, use the Generate Next 4 Weeks button to create additional upcoming occurrences.
💡 Occurrences that fall outside your booking horizon won't be visible to players yet — they'll appear automatically as the dates get closer.
