Once you've assigned seats, you'll want players to know where to sit and you'll want the layout handy when you arrive. Here's how seating reaches your players and how to keep a copy for game day.
Players See Their Seats Automatically
You don't need to publish or send anything. As soon as you assign a player to a seat, their Your Seat card appears on that game in the Portal and the Omahji app, showing their table number and seat (this is the player's view โ see Where Do I Sit? Finding Your Seat).
- If you rearrange seats later, each player's card updates automatically โ no need to re-share (see How to Rearrange Seating)
- A player only sees a Your Seat card once you've assigned them; until then, the game simply shows no seat yet
๐ก Tip: Because seating updates live, it's best to finalize assignments shortly before the game. If you shuffle tables at the last minute, a quick reminder message lets players know to recheck their seat.
Having the Layout Ready on Game Day
For your own reference when you arrive:
- Open the game's Tables section to see the full layout with every player in place
- Use the Seated list in the side panel to read off who's at each table โ it groups players by table for a quick roll-call
- On a phone or tablet, you can pinch or use the zoom controls to focus on one table at a time
๐ก Tip: Keep the seating view open on your device as you set up the room. It's the fastest way to place name cards or direct players to the right table.
Need a Paper Copy?
If you prefer a printout, use your device or browser's Print (or Save as PDF) option from the seating view. If you also track table equipment, the game-prep Checklist and Packing List PDFs give you a per-table breakdown to bring along.
