The seat buddy feature allows members to request to be seated at the same table as another player. This is useful for friends or family who want to play together.
How It Works
- A member registers for a game through the member app
- During or after registration, they can submit a seat buddy request — naming another player they'd like to sit with
- You see these requests in the instructor portal when assigning seats
- You can choose to honor the request when placing players at tables
Viewing Seat Buddy Requests
When you open a game's seating assignment:
- Look for indicators showing which players have made buddy requests
- The request shows which player they want to sit with
Do I Have to Honor Every Request?
No — seat buddy requests are just that, requests. You're free to arrange seating however you see fit. Sometimes it's not possible to seat everyone with their preferred buddy, especially when multiple players make conflicting requests.
Tip: Try to honor requests when possible — it keeps your members happy and engaged. But don't stress if you can't accommodate everyone every time.
