Skill Levels let you categorize players by experience — members choose their level when they join, and you can use it to group or balance players at tables.
Default Levels
Every instructor starts with three levels: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced. These are ordinary, fully editable levels — rename, recolor, reorder, or delete them like any custom level you add.
Adding or Editing a Level
- Go to Settings > Gameplay > Skill Levels
- Tap Add Skill Level, or select an existing one to edit
- Set a Label (the name players and you will see) and a Color from the palette
- Drag levels to reorder them
- Save
Where Skill Levels Are Used
- Player profiles — an optional skill level field when adding or editing a player
- Seating — the Skill Balance seating rule uses your levels to either balance tables with a mix of levels, or group similar levels together (see Configuring Seating Rules)
- Members can also choose their own level when they join
Removing a Level
Deleting a level is a soft delete. Players already assigned to it keep that value, but the level won't be available to assign to anyone else going forward.
