Omahji lets you send SMS text messages to your players right from the instructor portal. Use it for game reminders, schedule changes, or announcements.
How to Send a Message
- From the sidebar, click Messages or SMS
- Click New Message
- Select your recipients:
- All players — Message everyone on your roster
- Specific players — Select individual players from your list
- Game registrants — Message everyone registered for a specific game
- Type your message
- Click Send
The message will be sent as an SMS text to each selected player's phone number.
Note: SMS messages can only be sent to players who have a phone number on file. Make sure to collect phone numbers when adding players to your roster.
Tips for Effective Messages
- Keep it short — SMS messages work best when they're brief and to the point
- Include key details — Date, time, and location if you're sending a game reminder
- Send timely reminders — A message the day before a game helps reduce no-shows
- Use templates for messages you send often (see Using SMS Templates)
