How to Add a Bio, Testimonials, and FAQs to Your Member Portal

Personalize your landing page with an instructor bio, member testimonials, FAQs, and a member count

The Features tab in your Member Portal settings lets you add optional sections to your landing page β€” like an instructor bio, member testimonials, frequently asked questions, and a member count. These sections help build trust and give visitors a reason to join.

Getting There

  1. From the sidebar, tap or click Settings
  1. Select the Members tab
  1. Select the Member Portal section
  1. Tap or click the Features tab

Showing Your Member Count

The Show member count toggle displays the total number of members in your community on the landing page.

  • Toggle it on to show the count
  • Toggle it off to hide it

Tip: The member count only appears on your landing page once you have 10 or more members. This prevents showing a low number that might not have the impact you want.

Adding an Instructor Bio

The instructor bio section lets you introduce yourself to potential members. It appears on your landing page and helps visitors get to know the person behind the community.

Creating Your Bio

  1. Toggle Instructor bio section to on
  1. Tap or click Create Bio
  1. Fill in the fields:
      • Name β€” Your display name
      • Title β€” Your role or tagline (e.g., "Mahjong Instructor" or "Community Host")
      • Bio β€” A short paragraph about yourself, your experience, or your community
      • Photo β€” Upload a profile photo (optional but recommended)
  1. Tap or click Save

Editing or Removing Your Bio

  • To edit, tap or click the pencil icon next to your bio
  • To remove, tap or click the trash icon

Tip: Keep your bio friendly and brief β€” 2-3 sentences is ideal. Let visitors know what makes your mahjong group special.

Adding Member Testimonials

Testimonials are short quotes from your members that appear on the landing page. They're a great way to show social proof and encourage new visitors to join.

Adding a Testimonial

  1. Toggle Member testimonials to on
  1. Tap or click Add Testimonial
  1. Fill in the fields:
      • Quote β€” What the member said about your community
      • First Name β€” The member's first name
      • Photo β€” A photo of the member (optional)
  1. Tap or click Save

Managing Testimonials

  • To edit a testimonial, tap or click the pencil icon
  • To delete a testimonial, tap or click the trash icon
  • You can add up to 3 testimonials

Tip: Choose testimonials that highlight different aspects of your community β€” fun games, friendly people, well-organized events, etc.

Adding Frequently Asked Questions

The FAQ section lets you answer common questions right on your landing page, so potential members can find the information they need before signing up.

Adding an FAQ

  1. Toggle Frequently Asked Questions to on
  1. Tap or click Add FAQ
  1. Fill in the fields:
      • Question β€” The question visitors might ask
      • Answer β€” Your response
  1. Tap or click Save

Managing FAQs

  • To edit an FAQ, tap or click the pencil icon
  • To delete an FAQ, tap or click the trash icon
  • You can add up to 10 FAQs

  • How much does it cost to join?
  • Where are games held?
  • How do I register for a game?

Saving Your Changes

After making any changes on this tab, tap or click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the page. Changes take effect immediately.

Live Preview

As you toggle features and add content, the preview panel on the right side of the screen updates in real time, showing indicators for each enabled section.
