Understanding league statuses

What Draft, Upcoming, Active, Completed, and Cancelled mean for your leagues

Every league has a status that reflects where it is in its lifecycle. Here's what each status means and when to use it.

League Statuses

Draft

The league is still being set up and is not visible to members. Use this status while you're finalizing details before opening registration.

Upcoming

The league is published and open for registration, but hasn't started yet. Members can see it on the leagues page and register. This is the default status for newly created leagues that are published.

Active

The league season is currently in progress. Sessions are being played, and you can track attendance and enter scores.

Completed

All sessions have been played and the league season is over. The league remains visible for reference, but registration is closed.

Cancelled

The league has been cancelled. Members who were registered will see it marked as cancelled.

Changing a League's Status

  1. Open the league from the Leagues page
  1. Tap Edit in the overview tab
  1. Change the Status dropdown to the desired status
  1. Tap Save
💡

Changing a league's status does not automatically notify registered players. If you cancel a league, consider sending a message to your registrants separately.

Session Statuses

Individual sessions within a league also have their own statuses:

  • Scheduled — The session is planned but hasn't happened yet
  • In Progress — The session is currently happening
  • Completed — The session has been played
  • Cancelled — The session was cancelled (the rest of the league continues)

You can cancel individual sessions without affecting the rest of the league season.
