If you run games on a regular weekly schedule, here's how to set up a full week of games quickly and keep things organized.
Step 1: Plan Your Week on the Calendar
Start by going to the Schedule page. This gives you a month-view calendar where you can see which days already have games and where the gaps are.
Look for the days you typically run games and make sure they're covered.
Step 2: Schedule Your Games
- Go to the Games page and click Schedule Game
- The scheduling panel will open on the right side of the screen
- Select a date from the calendar at the top
- Choose a time slot β the available hours are based on your Game Hours setting (configured in Settings > Game Management > Game Defaults)
- Set the max players for this game
- Choose the location from your saved locations
- Select a host if applicable
- Optionally configure food options, add session notes, or attach a seating layout
- Click Save to create the game
Repeat for each day of the week.
Tip: Your game defaults (duration, max players, etc.) are pre-filled based on your settings. Configure these once in Settings > Game Management > Game Defaults to save time when scheduling.
Step 3: Duplicate for Efficiency
If you're scheduling similar games across multiple days, use the Duplicate feature:
- Open an existing game from the Games page
- Click the Duplicate option
- A copy of the game will be created with all the same settings
- Just change the date and time, then save
This is much faster than filling out the full form each time.
Step 4: Verify on the Calendar
Once you've scheduled everything, go back to the Schedule page and scan the week. You should see turquoise game chips on each day you planned. If anything looks off, click the chip to edit.
Setting Up Recurring Patterns
While Omahji doesn't have an auto-recurring feature, you can quickly set up a consistent weekly pattern by:
- Scheduling one game with your preferred settings
- Duplicating it for each day of the week
- Adjusting dates as needed
After the first week, you can duplicate an entire week's worth of games to fill out the rest of the month.
