The instructor portal is your command center for running your mahjong business. This article walks you through the main navigation so you always know where to find what you need.
The Sidebar
On desktop, you'll see a fixed sidebar on the left side of the screen with icons for each section of the portal. On mobile or tablet, these same options appear as a bottom tab bar.
Here's what each section contains:
Section | What It Does |
Dashboard | Your home page with key metrics, upcoming games, and analytics charts |
Players | View and manage your player list, invite members, and track statuses |
Games | Schedule new games, view upcoming and past games, and manage details |
Events | Create and manage special events like retreats and tournaments |
Schedule | A month-view calendar showing all your games and events at a glance |
Messages | Send SMS messages to your players and manage message templates |
Tables | Create and edit seating layouts with the visual table map editor |
Settings | Configure game defaults, locations, integrations, member portal, and more |
Account | Manage your business profile, subscription plan, and login credentials |
Finding Your Way Around
Most pages follow a consistent layout:
- Page header at the top with the page title, a short description, and action buttons (like Schedule Game or Add Player)
- Tabs to switch between views (for example, the Games page has Upcoming, Past, and Cancelled tabs)
- Search and filters to quickly find what you're looking for
- Content area with cards, tables, or forms depending on the page
Tip: On pages with long lists β like Players or Games β use the search bar at the top to quickly filter by name or keyword.
Quick Actions
Many pages have a primary action button in the top-right corner of the header. These let you jump straight into common tasks:
- Schedule Game on the Games page
- Add Player or Invite Member on the Players page
- Create Event on the Events page
- New Layout on the Tables page
Mobile Navigation
On smaller screens, the sidebar collapses into a bottom tab bar. If there are more sections than can fit, you'll see a More menu that expands to show the remaining options.
The portal is fully responsive β everything you can do on desktop works on your phone or tablet too.
