The onboarding wizard is the first thing you'll see after creating your Omahji account. It walks you through the essential setup so your account is ready to go in a couple of minutes.
What to Expect
The wizard appears as a full-screen overlay the first time you sign in. It has up to seven steps, and it adapts to your choices:
- On the native app (iPhone or Android), the plan step is skipped.
- The How Members Join step only appears if you enable memberships (a Club plan feature).
Nothing here is permanent — you can change any of these settings later from Settings or the Launch Checklist.
Step-by-Step Walkthrough
1. Welcome
A quick greeting screen. Tap Let's Go to begin.
2. Business Name
Enter the name of your mahjong group or business. Omahji automatically generates a web address for your Portal based on this name — for example, chicagomahjongclub.mahjpass.com.
3. Choose Your Plan
Pick a subscription plan — Solo or Club. Each card shows pricing and included features, and every plan starts with a 14-day free trial (no credit card required). On the native app, this step is skipped.
4. Choose Your Offerings
Select what you'll offer: Games, Events, Leagues, or Private Sessions (some may be marked "coming soon"). Pick one or more — you can always add or remove offerings later.
5. Memberships
Decide whether to enable memberships. Memberships are a Club plan feature, so on Club this is a quick "Not right now" or "Yes, enable memberships" choice. (On Solo, this step is informational only.) If you choose Yes, one more step appears.
6. How Members Join (only if memberships are enabled)
Choose how people become members:
- Open registration — Anyone can become a member by signing up. The fastest way to get started.
- Approval required — Players request membership and you approve them.
Either way, you can always invite players directly at any time.
7. Review & Launch
See a summary of everything you configured. When you're ready, tap Launch My Account to save your settings (and enjoy a little confetti).
💡 You can change any of these settings later from Settings. The onboarding wizard is just a fast way to get started.
What Happens After Launch
After launching, you'll see the Launch Checklist — a step-by-step guide to finish setting up your account. The wizard handles the first few items automatically, and the checklist walks you through the rest. See Using the Launch Checklist for more.
