When a player has paid you online through Stripe, you can refund them directly from their registration. The refund goes back to the card they paid with.
Issuing a refund
A refund is issued when you decline or cancel a player's paid registration:
- Open the registrations list for the event or league the player signed up for.
- Find the player's registration.
- For a player who has already paid, choose Decline & Refund.
- Confirm. The player is refunded to their original payment method.
💡 Refunds issued in Omahji are full refunds. They typically take a few business days to appear on the player's card statement, which is standard for card processing.
How the fee is handled
When you refund a player, Omahji's platform fee is reversed in proportion to the amount refunded — so a full refund returns the full fee. Stripe's fixed $0.30 processing charge on the original payment is absorbed by Omahji, not passed on to you.
For a full breakdown of what Omahji charges on player payments, see Understanding Omahji's fees.
Partial refunds
Partial refunds aren't available inside Omahji today — in-app refunds (via Decline & Refund) return the full amount. To issue a partial refund, use your Stripe dashboard.
