Discount codes let you offer percentage or fixed-amount savings on your offerings. You manage them from the More menu > Discounts.

Creating a Discount Code

  1. Go to More > Discounts and tap Add Discount Code (or use Auto-Generate for a random code)
  2. Fill in the details:
  • Code — what players enter at checkout (letters and numbers only; automatically uppercased)
    • Name — an internal label to help you recognize it later (optional)
    • Type — Percentage (% off, up to 100%) or Fixed Amount ($ off)
    • Max Discount Cap — for percentage codes, an optional dollar ceiling on how much a single redemption can save
  1. Choose what it Applies To: All Offerings, Games Only, Events Only, Leagues Only, Memberships Only, or Specific Offerings (pick individual game series, events, or leagues)
  2. Set Usage Limits:
  • Total Uses — leave blank for unlimited
    • Uses Per Member — how many times a single member can redeem it (defaults to 1)
  1. Set a Validity Period — optional Start Date and Expiration Date
  2. Add any Restrictions:
  • Minimum Purchase — the registration must be at least this amount to qualify
    • First-time members only
    • Active toggle — turn this off to pause a code without deleting it
  1. Optionally add Internal Notes (only you see these)
  2. Save

⚠️ Discount codes don't currently support Personal Sessions or point-of-sale Sales. They only apply to games, events, leagues, and memberships.

How Players Redeem a Code

At checkout, players tap Have a discount code? and enter it. Omahji validates it live and shows the discounted price before payment. If a code doesn't apply, players see a specific reason — invalid, expired, not yet active, usage limit reached, wrong offering type, or below the minimum purchase.

💡 Guest checkouts can redeem codes too — per-member usage limits only apply once a player is signed in, since there's no member record to count a guest against.

How Discounts Interact With Fees and Tax

The discount is applied first, and both tax and Omahji's platform fee are calculated on the discounted price, not the original price. If a code brings a registration all the way to $0, the player is registered directly as paid — no card charge, and no Stripe fee.

Editing or Removing a Code

  • Editing a code works the same as creating one, including changing what it applies to
  • Deleting a code is permanent — it also removes its redemption history, so you'll lose the record of who used it. Use the Active toggle instead if you just want to pause it.
