Game Styles let you categorize your offerings by mahjong variant — useful if you run more than one style and want players to know which one they're registering for.
Adding a Game Style
- Go to Settings > Gameplay > Game Styles
- Tap Add Game Style
- Pick a preset — Riichi, American, Hong Kong, European Classical, Sichuan, Competition — or type your own custom name
- Save
💡 There are no default styles — every instructor starts with an empty list, and the Game Style field only appears on your Game, Event, and League forms once you've added at least one.
Using Game Styles
Once you've configured at least one style, an optional Game Style dropdown appears when creating or editing a game, event, or league. Players see the style you chose on the offering's detail and registration screens.
Renaming or Removing a Style
- Rename a style at any time — it updates everywhere it's already assigned
- Delete a style to soft-remove it. Offerings that were using it keep their record, but the style name no longer displays on them — they'll simply show no game style going forward
A Note on Order
Styles are listed in the order you add them; there's no manual reordering today.
